The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise

Dan Gemeinhart

Coyote has been on the road with her dad, Rodeo, for five years. And for five years, she has missed her mum and two sisters... since they died in a car crash. And she hasn’t been home in that time. She’s been living on a bus. But when she is told that the park in her old neighbourhood is being ripped apart, the very same park where she, her mum and sisters buried a memory box, she realizes that she must get her dad to drive 3,600 miles back to Washington State...without him realising. On the way, they pick up a strange crew: Lester, who needs to meet his lady love. Salvador and his mum are looking to start over. Val needs a safe place. And then there’s Gladys...

A beautiful book, that might make you cry slightly towards the end. Beautifully written. I really loved this book. However, I don´t really like reading stories that involve any sort of death, since I´m quite sensitive in that area. Especially if it´s one of the main topics of the book. Also, it wasn´t one of those books that stuck with me. But i´s a good book, nonetheless.
