The Land of Roar

Jenny McLachlan

Rose and Arthur used to play all the time. But since then, Rose got boring. And so when they are at their granddad’s house for the summer, Arthur doesn’t know what to do. His twin sister is always ignoring him. But when granddad suddenly disappears under the mattress that used to lead them to a land of imagination, Arthur rushes after him, only to find that their land is real... and has been taken over by the evil Crowky...

This book is so magical. It takes you back to games that you´d play when you were younger. But this book made me question...is this real? Or is it just part of Arthur´s imagination? I found this book childish, yet really fun to read and very entertaining. Even ever-so-slightly scary/worrying when Crowky appeared!
