This book is based on a true story about the author herself. She was born in Idaho to a father who opposed to public education. Since she didn´t attend school, she´d help her mum stew herbs, since she was a herbalist and self-taught midwife, or help her father in his junkyard. But when she first stepped into a classroom at 17, she fell in love with learning. After hard work and teaching herself everything she´d missed out on all her school years, she proceeded to sign up to some of the greatest universities in the world.
A fascinating story, that taught me a lot. I loved this book. It was so amazing, and I just can´t even process the fact that it´s a true story... I truly admire Tara Westover.
